No country in the world has lower levels of corruption than New Zealand, according to latest international research
New Zealand was confirmed to be the least corrupt country in the world, in the Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index 2011 which was released on December 1st.
The report summarized an annual set of surveys and research which aim to quantify countries’ internal perceptions of corruption. On a scale of 0 (extremely high corruption levels) to 10 (no corruption levels), New Zealand was given 9.5 point, signifying an almost total absence of corruption.
Denmark and Finland were ranked just behind New Zealand, both with a score of 9.4. Sweden and Singapore were ranked 4th and 5th respectively, at a score of 9.3 and 9.2.
