The University of Victoria held their Tax Policy Conference on the 11th of February, aimed at the discussion of possible tax reform for New Zealand.
The Tax Policy Conference’s Public Address was opened by Peter Dunne. One notable aspect of his speech was his saying that he wishes to implement a 30/30/30 system to taxation. This system would see a tax rate of 30% for company, personal and trustee tax. Bill English was also scheduled to present, but at the time of publication his speech had not yet been released to those outside of the conference.
